Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Meetmy platform. By creating an account or using Meetmy, you agree to these terms.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to all users of Meetmy Inc. (referred to in these terms as "Meetmy", "we", "us", or "the Platform"), including both clients who book services and experts who offer services.

If you are an expert offering services on Meetmy, you also agree to our Provider Terms which contains additional terms specific to service providers.

If you are a client booking services with an expert, you also agree to that expert's specific Service Terms when you make a booking.

Account Requirements: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. When you sign up, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You agree to keep your account information up to date.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Keep your login credentials (email access and OTP codes) secure and confidential
• Not share your account with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• Take responsibility for all actions taken using your account

Account Closure: You may close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will process your request within 30 days. Before closing your account, you must complete any outstanding sessions and resolve any pending payments or balances.

You agree to use Meetmy only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Fraudulent Activity: Engage in fraud, impersonation, or deceptive practices
• Harmful Content: Post, share, or upload illegal, harmful, offensive, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or inappropriate content
• Intellectual Property Violations: Upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights, trademarks, copyrights, or privacy rights
• Platform Interference: Attempt to hack, disrupt, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to the platform, servers, or networks
• Spam or Abuse: Send unsolicited messages, spam, or engage in any form of harassment
• Multiple Accounts: Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, manipulate reviews, or engage in deceptive practices
• Unauthorized Use: Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the platform without permission
• Privacy Violations: Share others' personal information without their explicit consent

Enforcement: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. In cases of serious violations, we may take legal action.

Ownership: You retain ownership of all content you create and upload to Meetmy, including profile information, messages, reviews, photos, videos, and other materials.

License to Meetmy: By uploading content to the platform, you grant Meetmy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform. This includes:

• Displaying your content on the platform
• Making your content searchable and discoverable
• Using your content for marketing purposes (with your consent for promotional use)
• Creating backups and ensuring platform functionality

This license continues for as long as you maintain an account and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow for cached content and archival purposes.

Content Responsibilities: You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload
• Your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
• Your content is accurate and not misleading
• Your content does not contain viruses, malware, or harmful code

Content Removal: We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, without notice.

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

By using Meetmy, you agree to our collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy, including:

• Account information (name, email, profile details)
• Usage data (how you interact with the platform)
• Payment information (processed securely through third-party providers)
• Communications (messages, support inquiries)

Platform Changes: We continuously improve Meetmy and may add, modify, or discontinue features at our discretion. We will provide advance notice of major changes that significantly affect your use of the platform.

Service Availability: While we strive for continuous availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform. We may temporarily suspend access for:

• Scheduled maintenance and updates
• Emergency repairs or security issues
• Technical difficulties beyond our control
• Legal or regulatory requirements

Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, abuse the platform, or for any reason with 30 days' notice. Upon termination:

• Your access to the platform will be revoked
• Your content may be deleted (except as required for legal or operational purposes)
• Any earned but unpaid balances will be paid out (minus applicable fees and violations)
• Pending bookings will be cancelled with appropriate refunds

Payment Processing: All payments on Meetmy are processed securely through third-party payment processors (Stripe). By making a payment, you agree to the payment processor's terms of service.

Currency: All prices on the platform are displayed in the currency specified by the expert (typically USD). You are responsible for any currency conversion fees charged by your bank or payment provider.

Taxes: You are responsible for determining and paying any applicable taxes on transactions made through the platform. Meetmy does not collect or remit taxes on your behalf unless legally required to do so.

Platform Fees: Meetmy charges fees for use of the platform. Fee structures are disclosed before transactions and vary based on your role (expert or client). Detailed fee information is available in the Provider Terms for experts and in expert-specific Service Terms for clients.

Platform Role: Meetmy is a technology platform that connects experts with clients. We do not provide educational services ourselves. We are not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of services provided by experts
• The conduct, performance, or credentials of experts or clients
• Disputes between experts and clients
• Outcomes, results, or satisfaction from services booked through the platform
• Lost data, missed sessions, or technical issues beyond our control

Service Disclaimers: The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation
• Accuracy or reliability of any information on the platform
• That the platform will meet your specific requirements
• That defects will be corrected

Liability Limits: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meetmy's total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid to Meetmy in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Loss of data or content
• Cost of substitute services
• Personal injury or emotional distress

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Meetmy, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of third parties
• Content you upload or share on the platform
• Your interactions with other users

Resolution Process: If you have a dispute with Meetmy, please contact us first at [email protected]. We'll work in good faith to resolve the issue through informal negotiation.

Mediation: Before pursuing formal legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes through mediation. We both agree to participate in good faith mediation efforts.

Disputes Between Users: Disputes between experts and clients should first be addressed directly between the parties. Meetmy may offer to help mediate but is not obligated to do so.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes that cannot be resolved through negotiation or mediation will be handled through arbitration in London, United Kingdom.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or platform features. When we make material changes, we will:

• Post the updated Terms on this page
• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify you via email at least 30 days before changes take effect (for material changes)

Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform and close your account.
